Favorite body part/ place for ink of the sexes?

So on which body parts do you like tattoos on men and women?

Personally, there are some spots that I think are more attractive/ fitting for each sex and a few spots that I'm not a fan of at all...all personal preference of course.

I really love full back pieces on both sexes. Shoulder caps on women and thighs (really love full leg sleeves on both sexes as well). I think some feet tattoos can look pretty good...I like the ones that either cover the entire foot and go up the leg a little or the small feminine type along the side of the foot for women.

Not a fan of chest pieces for women...on some men they look ok. I do like 3/4 sleeves or full sleeves on both sexes as well. ooo...ribs are nice too.

i'm starting to realize as I write this there are more body parts that I like ink on than not :)

Personally not a fan of facial tattoos, have never seen any i liked, big fan of 3/4 or full sleeves on women and big back pieces. I know this is obvious but it does help if the work is good even if a style I do not fancy.

Agreed the work has to be good! And yeah, facial tattoos are generally on my not so hot list. The understated small start here or there on a face can be cute, but I just don't really see the point.

On men, shoulders, heading down over the back but not covering. On women, feminine pieces on the upper arms.

On women -- upper chest, above one or both of the breasts; upper arm; something small on the foot.

On men -- upper back/onto shoulders (duh, I must like it, that's what I have :-) ); foot onto lower calf (I'm considering getting one of those, maybe a snake or dragon or something twisty).

Nicely done tattoos are sexy in both genders!

Hmm kinda new here but this is an awesome question so I'll just jump in. Full backpieces on both sexes are amazing same goes for sleeves. Dana I love large lower back tattoo like yours on girls they just look great. Men with good full sleeves make me swoon =). Love side panels and shoulder caps and back of the neck on women. I'm not a huge fan of tattooed legs though I've seen some good ones, I like blackwork on legs instead of pictorial images. Good foot tattoos can be fun on girls. Not a huge fan of tattoos on stomachs or necks. Chest pieces are ok on men but gorgeous on women if there up high, right under the collar bone. I've never seen a boob tattoo that looked good.

Thanks! Hopefully my back tattoo will turn into a full back one of these years :) I'm not a huge fan of neck or hand tattoos either.

My favourite tattoo spot for men is across the back from shoulder to shoulder. I think it really accentuates a man's broad shoulders which is a huge turn-on.

For women, I think it's the side of the thigh. I've been saving that spot for last. :-)

I think the stars on the face of Kat Von D are nice. They suit well on her. I've also seen few copies of the stars now and they were not so nice. Usually the face tattoos are a big mistake.

I dont like tattoos on women chest, it hardly ever compliments the chest. Shoulder blade is probably my favourite spot for women. Lower back is really not a sexy spot for one.

For men I think it depends on the design. Any place is good if the tattoo is designed for that part of the body.

I'm a sucker for a guy with a ton of tattoos, full body suits in particular. I think the "good work" part is implied....some guy with a prison tattoo body suit would just totally gross me out!! For gals, I really like leg pieces that take up the whole side of leg, from hip down to ankle or even going onto the foot. 3/4 sleeves will always be a fav for me on anyone. For me, it's not necessarily placement but quality of work and size.....yes folks size DOES matter LOL! I think that tattoos should fit on the body part well, and I think one should be able to clearly make out the artwork from a distance. With few exceptions, I can't stand tiny tattoos. From a distance they just look like an ugly blob and I'm always like "is it a tattoo or a birthmark?"

Agreed...the bigger the better...as long as it fits the space...which usually means filling it! I don't know why more women don't get full leg sleeves...I think they are so amazing! I'm sure the expense is crazy for a leg sleeve/ pant?

I'm a girly girl so I tend to prefer feminine tattoos on females, I love capped shoulders, backpieces and foot tattooes. I'm a huge sucker for realistic tattoos, butterflies, florals, portraits, ect. On men I like the wrap around ones that start on the back then come around the shoulder and onto the chest. Half to 3/4 sleeves are really nice on guys too.
I know what your saying about size Jessica. I tend to go for big pieces as well, they draw me in and I have to look. I don't really like knuckle tattoos (I've never seen any that hold up well), facial, or neck tattoos or ones with profanity or offensive symbols.
