And I don't mean for VP... Do you have a list of artists you'd like to have work from, or will continue to work with? My list keeps changing as I discover artists, then I remember that money (and TIME!!) still doesn't grow on trees...
- Horiyuki
- Marie Wadman
- Theo Mindell
- Amanda Toy
- Karen Roze (to be continued)
- Tricia Allen (to be continued)
Here is my shortlist. I'll limit it to Atlanta-based artists:
Work that I definitely want: Russ Abbott: NEXT WEEK!!! Sean Herman: hopefully later this year Tim Orth: near or distant future Jason Kelly (a bit further off, I have a specific idea for him when we have kids)
I love these kinds of threads...there's always a few names I haven't heard of!
My list tends to change a little when I find new artists and it really could be much longer! Also none of these artists are remotely local to me which sucks...Nick was the closest and he's moving!
I really love his sketchy stuff...your bats are part of his portfolio that I love! I had thought of something sketchy for my foot at some point...I think that style would look great on my foot....gotta see when the inspiration strikes me though! Plus it would mean no more sandals at work...not sure if I'm ready for that yet.

Would've been nice to have bumped into you, Tracy.
Yes, I felt lucky to find him (for me it was the "discovery" of a new artist [although I know he's known to many fans]). Spoke with Horitaka briefly
I also got to watch Shige at work -- of what I saw, I only have two words -- WOW and WOWEE! (I was told he's not accepting anymore clients -- but the guy he was tattooing said he got hooked in through a connection; "so you're saying there's a chance" [quoting Dumb and Dumber]). Watched Henning Jorgensen at work too.
'currently in japan'
