Well I started my back piece on sat and I've come to notice a couple things about having a tattoo this large.

1) It is really hard to apply A&D and lotion on this thing when you're by yourself.
2) OMG does it itch like crazy!!!

Hahaha, just thought I'd throw that out there. I'm sitting at work right now trying not to scratch.

Badass! I will start my own backpiece next month with Horimatsu (www.horimatsu.com) Im thinking that I will apply the ointment with a spatula that is wrapped in cellophane. Just change the cellophane everytime=longer clean arm ;)

He is really awesome! I saw some of his stuff on Youtube.com. Very awesome stuff. I'm going try the spatula technique tonight, hahaha. I'll let you know how it goes.

Can't wait to see what you guys come up with.

Glad your finally getting the top quality work you've been wanting for a while now.

Yep, especially right where the dragon head is, I don't think anyone is that flexible.

The spatula idea is good, I used a pair of BBQ tongs with a washcloth around the end, then saran wrap around that. They're extra long so they cover pretty good.

The worst part for me was lymphing at work, my scrubs cut right across my tattoo, I was so miserable. That was the last time I got work on Fri when I had to work Sat and Sun.

damnnn, nice tat dude! I know what you mean, it is hard to apply lotion solo. I had to stretch my arms as much as I could over behind my head and do a "windshield wiping" motion lol. I also slept with my back against the cold wall to help with the itching. it's all well worth it though. Nice piece, i look forward to see it evolve!

Thank god for my mom she was the one who applied my A&D to my back even though she hates looking at it.

I hate the itch and it sucks when you cant reach a spot so you start rubbing your back against a corner or somehthing. Sometimes I would be at work scratching away while my supervisor is looking at me like im a crack head or something I had to tell her I just got a tattoo.

LOL! hahahaha, i still have to hide mine. I'm pretty sure they would think I joined Yakuza....even though I'm 30 years old haha

I'm surprised you aren't complaining about your butt. The urge to itch is overwhelming when it's your back, but when its your ass and you are sitting on it the urge to sort of wiggle a bit is truly insane. I used to regularly catch myself wiggling unconsciously at work.

hahahah, yeah it does it. I do that a lot too. looks like i have "other issues" going on down there hahah. I'm pretty sure my coworkers have seen my smack (ever so lightly) my own ass as i'm walking around hahaha.

Go to Shibuya. You have your choice of either Sunsqlit or Rin KG. I go to Rin KG. They are both about a mile from the train station.
