Do image for tattoo has to be realistic or artistic?

I have Daffodil flowers for my tattoo. As far as i know, Daffodils are bright yellow or white color.
Can i make it another color since yellow doesn't quite pop-up on my skin?

no, if you break the rules of the art gods you will pay severely.

its your body and your decision, what you want is what you get imho.

I wanted to stay on Yellow color but i don't know whether my tattoo artist can't make it pop up or is it my skin?
I'll do some research then before i change them to other colors but maybe i'll just add an outline first.

But my peony flower is red, i don't think there is a red peony? I saw Peony flower is may color, like blue, red, purple. Do they have those color in real peony?

Check out the various botanical books. You will be amazed at the various colors of many species. And this come up with something spectacular. It pays to do "homework" yourself and not only rely on the artist.

here, for example is a nice daffo dilly doo dah in yellow, but yes, depending on your skin color you might want a more contrasty color.

My tattoo artist doesn't want to use an outline for the flowers but maybe this pic will help, although.... if only the camera move a little bit to the left.
LOL....
Thanks a lot!

Being that my tattoo is two dogs done in red, orange, yellow, and black, I guess you can figure out what my answer would be....!

red color means when you guys had a beer together,
orange when you guys after sun bathing,
yellow is when you guys not feeling well
black is the natural color of the dogs.
LOL....
Thanks Gordon....i'll consider other colors for the flowers.

Colour is entirely up to you! I have three water lillies on my back. Usually a "proper lotus" is either white or pink. My lillies are purple, pink and yellow (all realistic colours but more unusual -- like me!!).

Your daughter was smart -- definitely made that part of your sleeve "pop."
