Finding work with a tattoo

I'm about to get my first tattoo and the biggest concern i have with getting it is finding a job after it's done. It's going to be on my chest and it will be easily covered up by a t-shirt or anything else. I was just wondering if it would be harder finding a job because of this.

there are not a lot of jobs out there that need you to be shirtless, so I do not see this affecting your job qualifications.

Well, I quite often go shirtless and oiled up in the office for "casual Friday wrestling."

It's one of the perks of the NZ public service.

It's all about discretion. Knowing when it's appropriate to show your tattoos and when it's not. I'm always covered and it's never been a problem... except on casual Friday wresting!! lmao

Why worry? Do you expect the interview will held in the buff? As Kitten said, "It's all about discretion." Don't get a tattoo on the back of your hand or your face and expect to get a job as a Stock Broker or a sales job in Ferrari. Otherwise pursue employment with a firm like Golden Palace as a human billboard.

If your biggest concern is getting a job when you get what will be pretty much be invisible ink, I hope I can assume you've already chosen a reputable artist and checked out their work/shop? And decided what you want permanently on your skin? And know how to care for it once you have it? Or are you just bored, and couldn't think of a better conversation starter?
