My leg depiction of the valley of bones coming to life holds a great deal of meaning. For me, it is about new life and a new creation in general. More specifically, it represents a new life that was built from a pretty dark time in my own experience.
The chest piece is less deep. I think this one is more about aesthetics, but it still has meaning. I wanted it to convey strength and protection. It also represents a connection to ancient mythology that has led me to my career.
Thanks all for the responces. The koi on my calf symbolizes me going to college, I thought that I would ever go to college. My back tat was the spur of the moment, but it worked out. It is for my favorite bamd breaking benjamin, but if htey ever break up, it is also for be being irish. If I could go back I would still get it though.
Nothing much, my words across my right chest is who I was at the time I got it. The left piece I got is a dragon and the words self discipline which represents me fighting off my addictions, cleaning up, and becoming who I am at this moment.
It's a reminder everyday about who I am not and who I was. How I conquered my issues and where I'm going.
The one on my back is a tribal interpretation of the phoenix, for obvious reasons :)
The skull on my arm is to remember my grandfather who recently past away, and also to remind me not to take better care of my health then he did.
Yeah the scene-y toile reminds me a bit of my nonna's bedspread or something haha
Will definitely chat with my artist about some shadows and see what she can come up with :)
The pain isn't something I'm relishing, but it'll just be three hours out…
