As part of an environmental emphasis, our church bought cloth bags with the church logo on them to use at grocery stores and elsewhere. I loved taking it into the bottle shop one day :-) -- nothin' like filling a bag with a church logo on it with wine and beer :-) (at least that is an anomaly here in the south where Christianity and right wing politics are too synonymous).

At clubs, buy bottles not individual drinks if you plan on going all night. Money saving tips from a drunk. ;)

Freezing your leftovers is a better way to have a later TV dinner than the boxed stuff. Plus it is cheaper and you don't let food go to waste.

Have you seen? On the news yesterday morning I heard that China is going to ban the production AND use of those damn plastic bags!! That's great, I'm impressed/surprised/happy it's a very positive move. :D

I've resorted to either carpooling or walking/skateboarding to as many places as possible...having a big truck and the gas prices where they are, Ifigured it would help me AND the enviornment, plus after training I'm going to buy a CAR with over 30mpg it's a start...

Definately a good idea. Now you can buy those bags at the grocery store for $1. I just started myself and it really cuts down on the plastic bags. A small contribution is better than none at all. : )

Its not much but I dont use plastic shopping bags anymore from the supermarket and use cloth bags. (a rather minuscule contribution I know)
