Hi all. I try to garden organically. I don't know if you are aware of this guy. He's here in Texas. His name is Howard Garrett and he's fantastic. You can visit him at dirtdoctor.com. Wanted to share in event any of you are alos organic gardeners. He's really super. Well, it's a little too hot at 2:32 in the afternoon in Terrell, Texas to be doing any outside gardening. My beds need some serious help. Everything kind of burns to a crisp this time of year. Take care.

Hi Judy, glad to be here. I haven't checked in for a while, I'm back to work and were busy getting the nursery ready for opening day on April 24th, plus I've been busy getting my own place ready for planting. In Northeast PA, were just able to turn the soil, good tree and shrub planting time but that's all. If we don't have anymore frost I stand to have a great Plum and Peach harvest this year, my first on these trees, so I know how the weather can mess with your mind. I keep my fingers crossed so much these days I feel like I have claws. If you or anyone out there have any gardening questions about trees, shrubs and perennials that grows in zone 3, 4, and 5, I may be able to answer your questions. I'm no expert but I do know a thing or to, plus my boss is a gardening know-it-all, so feel free. Just be patient I'm not a big web surfer this time of year but I do check in from time to time.

Hey, sorry I haven't been here in so long, I've been working way too much. Our weather has been very strange too. Just this week-end it was 34 degrees.....in the middle of Texas......at the end of March. We also had a lovely hail storm (pea to quarter size at my house) that smashed my beans and melons to death, the tomatoes lived though. So, I'm off to replant now.

Hi there! Just joined the group, I'm a gardener from the northeast that works seasonally at a tree/shrub nursury and garden center. I see there hasnt been any resent activity here but if theres someone out there itching for spring say hey!

i just want everyone to know that the bulbs my boyfriend and i planted last summer are starting to come up. plus, i'm working on convincing him to plant a small veggie/fruit garden in the back yard. we're making progress! :D.
