lol, my big dog hits the knob with his nose to let me know :) course the little one won't be able to reach....If I hung a bell, my cats would have a field day! LOL

My vet says the same thing. says that some smaller dogs (like the yorkie) are harder to house break because people let it go when they do have an "accident". We are training him now, the sooner the better. Thankfully he isn't that loud...lol My big dogs don't bark at all unless they alert on something....

lol, they come in all shapes and attitudes :D

None of my big dogs were ever biters. I have seen that much more in small dogs. wonder if it is compensation for size...???

LOL, yeah I have heard of their "Napolean complex" .... But since he is only 3 months old, we haven't seen it in full bloom....:D

yeah, he is going to be small....and I hear your friends, I worry too, just the other day a bald eagle flew overhead when I was in the driveway.......

I had a friend who's minpin was aptly named "lunchmeat"....lol

Dalmatians are interesting dogs. I was in a relationship with a guy who had the most well trained Dalmatian I have ever met. We use to say he was a "minimalist" because he had so few spots...lol

In the 80's he was kinda famous. He had had some pictures taken and they showed up on postcards internationally! We would laugh when we walked by a store and there was Dempsey with colored spots all over him :)

Here's the son of Misskylie and I. 18 month old Dally names Lou (yes- inspired by Sublime's LouDog). He's more human than most people we know...

He's a bright guy :) already knows sit! He doesn't like to poop or pee in his crate (luxury size...lol) we are working on "litter box" training him because it gets so cold here, and he is SO small.

We originally thought he was going to be around 6-7 lbs. Now it looks like he is only going to be around 5. We have always owned really large dogs so this is a big change. Even our cats are all bigger than him!

But of all of them, he seems to have taken all the brain power! quick as a whip and man, he''s smart!

It's sad to see your dogs get old. My buddy is getting up there. Not sure his exact age (rescued from the pound), but I would guess anywhere from 10-12 years old. His hips are getting bad. I got him a friend 2 years ago - another rescue dog - and that really helped (except she has the bad habit of drinking water to fast and puking all over the place!)

He has more energy and plays with her often. Still, I wake him up if he's sleeping for a long time without moving - just to make sure he's still around.

You can see a pic of him on page two here. It will truly be a sad day when he goes. I'm sorry to hear about yours...
