Funny, but my experience was much like yours K...

I doubt it was the thing that sent it over the top, but I'm about to be divorced, and much like you, the more ink I've added, the more sneers I get from the other. My stuff is all custom and absolutely fantastic... in fact most of it is in honor of our daughters. But it's become a sore spot. She hates it. Interesting. Maybe she just hates me, and if gives her something else to glom onto. For the record, she doesn't like my guitars either. Oh well.

Amen. Couldn't have said it better myself.

Hmmmm - I can understand someone not liking your ink (if they're that way inclined), but what's not to like about guitars? For the record, I have a 1968 Les Paul Custom which I'm told is very collectable, not that I'm tempted to sell.
"Nigel Tufnel: The sustain, listen to it.
Marty DiBergi: I don't hear anything.
Nigel Tufnel: Well you would though, if it were playing."

Honestly, the guitars are just one more thing to dislike about me. It makes it easier. She doesn't have to look at herself.
If she can tell herself I'm a tattooed guitar player, then she finds it much easier to label me a bad influence, wierdo, whatever.

My reaction is Ooh La La...a tattooed guitar player????? Bring it on....
But I totally agree with all that is said.My ex husband's fave hobby is to bag the shit out of me with his young thai wife in front of my daughter. It is now 7 years ago that I left and finally it is easing a tad and he kinda says hello....just sometimes.Funny how when you meet you think you have sooo much in common and it's going to last forever.Very sad stuff to accept, and especially when there's kids involved. You always have that "ball and chain" when you have to communicate about the kids.i feel like I never really knew this person at all.Twelve years with this man and what I know I don't like one bit.
Funny though,my daughter tells me he is watching Miami/L.A. Ink now.Maybe he will cross over to the artistic side one day.

They more you talk, the more I think you are too cool Lis.

How old is your daughter? and yeah, after 7 years you would hope it would get easier... but I bet it is still hard. I'll be linked to this woman for the rest of my life... much like you said. But I guess the upside is I have my daughters. I guess I can definitely thank her for that.
