I'm just starting to ink my body, I think its kind of wrong to get too much ink too early. Ink should be a mark of experience rather than a passing fancy of youth. I'm finding myself in a rather difficult position because of it.
For those who don't like tattoos, mine are too big and I already have too many. For the who like tattoos, I'm a newbie and they treat me like a kid because of it. (Or worse yet, pressure me to get more done than I'm ready for).

Its not important to me how much, or how little guys have done on their bodies, so why should it matter how much I have on mine?

It bothers some guys, because they can't accept you having something they aren't comfortable with. Then there is the situation where they will have to introduce the "tattooed girlfriend" to family and friends. What will "they" think? It's a problem with the guys self confidence, not the size, quantity or location of your tattoos.

First of all, you are right that tattoo's are a sign of experience. Those who don't like tattoo's will never like tattoo's and there's nothing any of us can do about that. Those who try to push you into getting more than you're ready for are the ones who get the Elmer Fudd tatt's on their chest and the Barbed-Wire on their arms just to prove that they are tough and have tattoo's.(And they
Get what you want, when you want, where you want, and how big/colorful you want. The right guy will come along and he'll probably have just as many, or more, and he'll want to know the story behind each one of yours.
My last girlfriend got a Flying Heart w/ Tribal Flames on her chest, right between the Hooties and my Mom was like, "She couldn't have got that somewhere else?". I told her that she got that tattoo for herself and not for me and/or my mom. She should respect the fact that people have their own idea's of beauty and it doesn't always fall in line with what everybody else thinks. She understood, it just shocked her that young women do that kind of thing now.
Hang tough, get want you want, when you want. Remember, you're the one that has to wear them forever. Be happy with what you get or don't get it, no matter what anybody says.
