Please describe your bodyart:

At the moment only four small pieces of work but I start a full back piece on the 10th of October about which I am ludicrously excited.

About Me:

I'm a young(ish) tattoo devotee who doesn't feel like she fits in with the typical "culture" on either side of life. Too ordinary looking and into all the wrong things to fall down on the side of "alternative" and far to in love with body art to be "normal". I find I have a different attitude to my ink than my peers, getting work done for me rather than the collective audience and refusing (for the most part) to flash my tattoos on nights out. And I have much more of it.

Just looking for somewhere to belong, amongst people who love their artwork but understand the pitfalls and problems that having it can sometimes bring.

I work in administration for a research institute annexed to a UK university. Luckily the adacemic sector is fairly forgiving concerning personal appearance.

first outing with a semi finished backpiece

... so I'm up to five hour's worth of work on my backpiece (only two hours in the last session because I'm a wuss) and this Saturday was the first time I've worn anything that "shows it off" (really just a top with a lower back than usual).
