- I grew up in Michigan (suburban Detroit) but I now live in the Chicago area and have been here for eight years. I love it here! My husband and I met in college - we were in the marching band together (dorks). He doesn't care for my tattoos and neither do my parents. I like dogs, redecorating, dance, and crafts. I have two young sons and am busy all the time!
- Describe your profession:
- I am an Inventory Analyst for a distributor of shipping supplies. I have worked at my current job for five years and I really like the company (it is small and family-owned, and growing at a ridiculous rate!). It is a conservative company - women are preferred to wear skirts and men wear ties! It's a good thing most of my ink is hidden at work - our employee handbook actually says that we're supposed to dress to minimize the visibility of tattoos. Of course we're also supposed to wear only one pair of earrings and I wear nine total ear piercings, including tragus and rook. Oh well!

i knew there was something fishy going on at my work. the xray vision makes sense!
i would laser it off, your future employers may either require you to work shirtless or have x-ray vision.
if it is on your back i doubt that it will be seen by anyone at your workplace.
not sure why this would be an issue??
How will society view me once I get this tattoo? Will doors close for me when I begin looking for jobs once out of law school? Any advice is welcome...
