- Swan/ lotus which takes up half my back and the water flows around my hip to encircle the lotus on my thigh. Just started my other thigh...it's a woman coming out a mirror- the piece is a reflection of my work as an art therapist.

- About Me:
- I'm 26 and I love the outdoors. I'm married to an amazing man who moved to the US from beautiful Australia to be with me! I couldn't be luckier!
- Describe your profession:
- I'm an art therapist. I work in a hospice setting providing creative counseling and support for the terminally ill and bereaved. An art therapist has a masters degree which involves training in both counseling and art. We used a variety of materials to help people express emotions, problem solve, communicate, connect with others, and more.
In hospice I help people come to terms with their illness, appreciate the present moment, reivew their lives, create legacy pieces for their loved ones, create meaningful interactions with their loved ones, have fun, memorialize those who have passed, and a variety of others goals individualized to the person I'm with.
I love my job and am a huge advocate for better, more holistic, health care for everyone. With a emphasis on the person, not just their illness. I'm am especially passionate about advocating for the elderly and terminally ill.

So Excited!!!
So I've just booked two appointments with Muriel, www.zaotattoo.com to get started on my leg! The first is in July at Off The Map...so that should be good fun! And I get to go to the Paradise Tattoo Gathering and continue working on it!!! I'm so excited! I get to get an awesome tattoo and have a vacation somewhere that looks beautiful!

saving pains
I sometimes wish money grew on trees that lived in my bank account...this way the money would already be there. The bank could even employ a little helper monkey to pick the money off the trees and put it in my savings basket! Aahhh...to dream.
So I'm trying as hard as I can to save for the next tattoo. Problems are many with this as I only really want big work, I'm impatient, and the savings is SLOOoooooow. We are currently also saving for a house next year, and ferrets! Can't wait ti

- its from this anime cartoon my husband and our best friend like...see he was pcs-ing and wanted all of us to get a matching something that applied to us. so the anime applies to them, but then he altered it to look like the flames in an ICP album (we bother LOVE LOVE LOVE icp), so thats how it applied to me and him. its a really silly tattoo if u think about it, but its very special to us, because of how close we were.

I think it is strange because another artist I am getting work by (Gabriel Cece) is also doing the painting show, but I know for sure he has 2 appointments set, and they should be pretty long sessions. Who knows how it will go. Hopefully I get to be tattooed by Nick. I really, really will be so sad if not.

- I heard back from Nick and he told me he only has limited time to tattoo that weekend because of the painting show. He has one appointment already on Saturday for a guy that has been waiting for 3 years to get tattooed by him. HE said there is a chance that he will have time to tattoo on Sunday, and if so, the appointment is mine. So hopefully it will all work out.

It looks like she will be at Russ' shop, Ink and Dagger, in June. Unfortunately, I will be on a business trip so won't be able to see her work there.
