I returned home from Cancun with a head-cold, two pairs of broken sunglasses, an empty neoprene case that once held my new Olympus FE-370 and the firsthand knowledge that, before nightfall, one can have upwards of 4 dozen cocktails at an "all-inclusive" resort and not feel the slightest bit drunk. The GOOD news, however, came in a padded envelope that was waiting for me at my local bar: a DVD with the final edit of my band's latest video.

of course, usually i'm on the other side of the mixing console, reading equally bullshit scripts - but yesterday was my debut as producer/director. fortunately, i only had to direct my completely deranged friend who makes his bread as the voice of SportsCenter.
