Ok, what the hell was the decision AGAINST Shogun tonight? He won the fight, hands down. Boycott UFC!

Yea! Congratulations, less surgery is usually a good thing!

Nerves do regenerate, but very slowly. Stay in good health, doctors don't know everything.

Good luck with the surgeries.

Oh, and + Faber would dummy that kid!

I'd like to see Florian go down a weight class and take on Faber!!!! WHat does he think of that guy, J.R? I know, Barnett, oi! He's such a talented fighter too!
July 28
Yea! I don't imagine you'll be afraid to do anything in your life again. "I can't" is no longer in your vocabulary. I've seen the operation your waiting for, it's amazing, nerve grafting is incredibly tedious work but the results are amazing.
July 28
I'm going to say Penn too; I think Florian hasn't been up against a real opponent yet, and he's in for a rude awakening. I can't wait for the next TUF....they're grooming Kimbo to fight Lesner (it's kind of obvious, but the UFC ain't subtle). I go...

Hokay, UFC 101.. Poor forrest griffen. It would be the upset of the new decade if he landed a lucky one, and you just never know....here's to Forrest.
July 27
Haha! The moment Bisping got knocked out I was extrememly happy...if anyone needs to get knocked out it's that mouthpiece! Lesner is a beast, and I look forward to the day when HE gets knocked out!

What an event! Dan Henderson was unbelieveable! Mental note: don't ever piss that guy off. The knockout was great, but the highlight was that last little punch! GSP!!He took it to Alvez and beat him with it...I think Alvez and his trainers underes...

Okay, let's hear some predictions on UFC 100: I've got GSP against Alvez, I think Henderson will lose to Bisping, but I want him to win very, very badly. I think Mir will finally reclaim his title properly and submit Lesner like he did the last t...

10 minute first rounds always made a great fight!

Now we're rolling on with MMA discussion! Kimbo Slice needs to first unlearn what he knows and then completely rebuild himself. Maybe he'll even lose a few pounds in the process. I can see him being a menace at 240-50. Of course the UFC is "groom...

That was a nice hook; but he should have finished it right there. Por Pramen snuck in a lot of short 'chute boxe' style kicks that Dida should have seen, but his heart is immeasureable. (Since he was a chute boxe fighter!) They did extend his cont...

Here's one of my instructors, Andre Dida fighting Por Pramen in K-1 Heros. This is only the first round, Dida lost by decision! Great fight! http://www.fansofk1.com/article?aID=2023&Category=3

Etim vs. Bucholz: great fight! Etim is a tough guy, he's lucky he didn't go down and eat canvass in the first round! Bucholz looks like he hits hard! That's the kind of trainer you need! Sounds like a good gym!

About Me:
I am an electronics engineer by trade, musician/writer, and kickboxer-MMA fighter, tattoo collector, freak of nature.

I have recently been hit in the head by a Canadian Pacific Railway engine. To say it hurts means little but to recover is all I have. Let's hope I can pull through this and that my brain tumor never comes back again. Thanks for that CPR!

Looking for like-minded individuals.

Describe your profession:
Build, repair, and modify professional HD cameras and accesories. Mad scientist....Worked in music studios, then post-production film studios, live sound, and now into "semi-retirement". Freakboy.

More Tattoo and Body Mods...

Apart from the work you can see in the pictures, I also have both sides of my chest and collerbone done. The left is a Japanese Oni Demon, in wind with swirling cherrie blossoms.

The right side of my chest is my second dragon that wraps over the shoulder (both sides Yakuza style) and ends on my back.

Giant black star on the top of my right foot-big mofo-this represents my MMA gym, without putting the name on me anywhere (Chute Boxe).

Black star middle wrist (left), black star offcenter (left), then two smaller ones on the side of my hand.

I have Piercings-several in each ear, and one called an "Ampallang" which is Philipino for "King of Kings". You should enter that into Google!

I'll get pics for these ones too.

More from the 'freight train'

I just came from my neurosurgeon's office, and he is saying that my facial nerve is growing back all on it's own. I can close my right eye about halfway, and even smile a little on the right side too.

No surgery! It was supposed to be next week, but now it's off for good!

Now just my eye surgery, then ear surgery (december), then in about a year full recovery ('cept I'm still deaf on the right).

rock on!

Hit by train, 3 months later...

It's been three months since I got whacked in the noodle by a 2.2 million-pound freight train (I talked to the conductor). All my bones have healed; the skull fracture, facial fracture, broken ribs, & transverse bones from the spine. My facial cut has healed up, as have the cuts to my ear-the ear cartilage was severed in two spots, and the ear just moves around the side of my head every day.

The tattoo gods were looking over me! When I got hit I flew about 23+ feet through the air, hit a tr… Continue

IT's been almost six weeks since I was hit by a freight train. MY broken face is healing and so is my back; very slowly. Today I learned that I will never have hearing in my right ear again-I'm deaf on the right. That sucks but it has made me think that the frustration and rage I'm feeling should turn into some new ink.

I've decided to get a Red & Black Canadian Pacific Railway locomotive done on my back (and a bit lower too). It's going to be centered coming "out" of my back surrounded by… Continue

"man with tape recorder hit by train"

THere I was, gathering sound FX for a friends' movie. I recorded a train go by me on the tracks, then turned my back on it an hit "play" on my newly made Train tape. That's what disguised the sound of the other train comining in where the other had left. It hit me in the right ear and I just came from hospital yesterday.

Spent 6 days in the hospital; only 2 that I can remember because I only came to 2 days ago.

I came to inside a CT machine at the hospital undergoing a CAT scan, My hands were… Continue

Other than the paw print on my shoulder blade, yeah, they were all done in Scotland - I'll be back across the pond in a few months for good though so I'm looking forward to seeking out a great artist for my next piece!

Hey, I'm really glad to hear back from you! I will safely assume that you're getting stronger and healthier by the day, and that my hightened concerns are entirely needless. Perhaps I could buy you a recovery drink in the near future, once you're off your meds? I've always been a sucker for patients with gory details!! :) Much love..........

Hi Kip, it's Dove's friend Loren from the tattoo shop last fall. I've just come across your blog and I've sent you a note via your myspace page since I didn't initially have an account here. I'm really tripped out about your recent events and I hope that you're getting better. I included my contact details in the other note, so if you're able to, drop me a line and say hi.

Got to be careful (at least in the US). Many Fortune 500 employers have added both a strip search and a cavity search to the last segment of the hiring process. A tattoo could spell the end to your future career.
