If you are struggling with crochet, maybe try knitting. It's much easier to pick up on. It did take me a while to finally get the hang of things with crochet, but I do prefer it over knitting at this point. Still expanding my stich vocabulary if you will LOL! Good for you for taking such a negative event in your life and doing good with it. I can tell you're a strong woman. Again, I say if your dream is to be a tattooer and you truly have the artistic talent (cuz that's so important, I'd love to be a tattooer as well but I have NO artisitc ability in that sense! I make a killer cake though LOL!) you shouldn't give up that dream. Maybe put it on the back burner until school is done, but don't toss it all together!
On a much lighter note, don't throw out the idea of being a tattoo artist. Granted, apprenticeships can be quite hard to come by, but if you feel you are pulled that direction you should pursue it! A lot of shops don't take women seriously at the present time mainly because of the new LA Ink series. One of my best friends owns a tattoo shop and she has noticed a sharp increase in female inquiries. If you are serious, I say keep asking. Once you have an art degree I think you may be taken more seriously as well. I'm not in the industry by any means, but I believe in following your dreams. :)
Hi Liana, Im deeply sorry for your loss. As a mother I know words cannot describe the love we have for our babies. My daughter was born prematurely but thank God everything worked out. I hope you find some comfort when you get your memorial tattoo of your angel

Please describe your bodyart:
Each of my tattoos have special meaning to me. I have gotten them when I have over come through things in my life, or they stand for something I believe in. I designed two of the five that I have. Planning to get more.
Relationship Status:
Married
About Me:
I'm 24 about to be 25 on January 29th, living in New York City. Recently married the love of my life. Currently I am mourning the loss of my daughter that I gave birth to on September 25th, 2007. She was 19 weeks and 4 days premature. Her name is Alana. Alana died the same day she was born. I plan to get a memorial tattoo in her memory within the next two to three weeks. And then another tattoo for her on my stomach when I can afford to get another one.
Currently I am a student at Pratt Institute, drawing and painting major. Also, I am trying to start a non-profit, but I am having trouble getting it started.
If I could I think I'd like to become a tattoo apprentice, but it's impossible to find those positions. I'd gladly do the shop grim.
I would say it's not near as bad as getting shot or stabbed though I don't know for sure. I guess if you expect the worst you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Forgot you guys were metric. My 1st baby was 3770 grams, my second just slightly smaller. I ha…
Yeah the scene-y toile reminds me a bit of my nonna's bedspread or something haha
Will definitely chat with my artist about some shadows and see what she can come up with :)
The pain isn't something I'm relishing, but it'll just be three hours out…
