Profile Information

Please describe your bodyart:
witches claw on one shoulder for protection (my first tattoo), trident with dragonfly on other shoulder representing the Goddess and God that I have the closest relationship to, mermaid holding a very special shell, seahorse wrapped in seaweed with a starfish on upper arm, iris on other upper arm...coming soon...pentacle on lower back, griffin on calf...and more back work
Relationship Status:
In a Relationship
About Me:
Besides my tattoos my counter-culture qualifications are: I'm a practicing pagan, vegetarian who is 95% vegan, and have a long haired heavy metal lead singer for a boyfriend.

I reside in Boston but have lived in many parts of the States and spent seven years in The Netherlands.

I've found that my tattoos are surprisingly freeing and are enabling me to come back to my true self. This is something that is still going on but the more tattoos I get the more real I feel.
Describe your profession:
For money and I guess for the love of it I am a senior marketing manager. I really do enjoy the strategy and creative sides of my profession. But more and more I'm getting the urge to get out of the corporate world. In the meantime I've become the pro bono "director of marketing" for a tattoo studio and am having a great time with it.

I'm hoping by summer I will be able to quit working for the quasi government agency I'm at and either strike out on my own or change professions all together.

Hi hun, hope your well, was reading the post about the trials of your mermaid, and i have total sympathy although mines on my leg, but its been my hardest tattoo journey so far. I know in the end it will look amazing, but i'm struggling right now.Your mermaid is big and bold and awesome, I'm sure your mega happy you went through the pain to get there.

Getting sick can sure put a halt to exercising and proper eating. I know when I'm sick I just want comfort food! Well get back in there and go at it. There's no better time than the present :) I've kicked my exercising way up. I've been rowing on the rowing machine 5000 meters a day. Right now I can do that in about 27.5 minutes and my goal by the end of April is to get to my time down to 25 minutes. It's pretty hard but I've noticed a tremendous difference in my torso, which is where I carry most of my weight. I burn about 260 calories doing that alone, then I do abs and other stuff on top of it.

DANG girl did you win the lotto or something?? You're getting tattooed at an extremely rapid pace!! You're probably your tattoo artist's favorite customer!

:) Hi! So I haven't chatted w/ you much. You'll have to check out my last blog about the challenge. Things are going just peachy! How are you doing with your goals? I hope well, but if not let me know and I'll do what I can to help inspire or motivate you!

So when do you get tattooed again? You still need to finish your arm project right?

Hi!! Went to the halfway point weigh in this morning (for the challenge, not my entire goal) and I lost another 2 pounds this week! I really didn't think I had lost, actually thought I may have gained. So I was thrilled!

Bummer about the job but WAY TO GO GIRL on keeping on track. Just keep at it, slow and steady wins the race! It's so great, my cloeset friends here are all going through the same thing and it makes it so much easier.

Honestly, you need to get SOME kind of physical activity going on. That was always my draw-back, I hate sweating. It's gross and I feel disgusting. But I try now to push myself very hard at the gym every morning, so that the sweat is rolling down my back, etc. as I know that's my fat stomach going away!! (And I'm not on a diet, it's the new way I live life!!) ;)

Keep at it woman, if you are losing inches that's better than pounds, in my opinion at least. I say I'd rather weigh 500 and fit into a size 8, not that it's possible but I'm more worried about inches than pounds. Just so happens the challenge I'm doing IS about pounds, so that's what I'm looking at right now.

Hey Lady how ya doing? How are you doing with WW? I had weigh in today and lost 2.5lbs this week. So, that's an average of about 2.8 per week for the past 3 weeks so I'm thrilled. I hope you are doing well too!! When do you get tattooed again?

I don't think you're THAT crazy.....if I had the income you apparently do I'd get tattooed every week too!!! I'm just trying to scrape up a couple hundred bucks to get some of my half sleeve colored in. If you know anyone in Kansas that needs life insurance send them my way LOL!!!!

Got to be careful (at least in the US). Many Fortune 500 employers have added both a strip search and a cavity search to the last segment of the hiring process. A tattoo could spell the end to your future career.
