Helping friends, cutting deals

Last April I was asked by my friend Marilyn, piercer and co-owner of the tattoo shop I frequent, to help her piercing apprentice, Dominic, test out for his license. It was a really great experience and he said he felt very at ease using me as his model for the exam. Booked it!

Well I got a bonus sooner than expected so I ran RIGHT over to the shop to book a sitting on my half sleeve! Thursday right after work, yes I know I'm anxious and couldn't even wait a full week haha! Because of the new info, my friend and I decided to push back the photo shoot that was set for tomorrow, that way we can get the latest addition in the pics. Weekend Milestone

As most people do when trying to lose weight, I have THE pair of jeans. You know, the ones that use to fit perfect but in no way have fit me for the last 3-4 years. Those jeans. Well..............a couple weeks ago I tried them on and they fit but not comfortably at all. I still wouldn't wear them even though I could get them on and zipped. Get Fit Challenge

One of my best friends convinced me to sign up for the Get Fit Topeka Challenge, which is basically our town's version of biggest loser. I'm a little on the heavy side and have been trying to lose some weight and just become more healthy overall. What I didn't realize is that, by all clinical standards, at 5-4 and 178 pounds I was considered obese. YUK!
