Hell City 2009!

I have an appointment set up with Gabriel Cece to finish up the upper half of my left sleeve! I cannot wait! I also have another possible appointment for that weekend! The artist is pretty busy participating in the Innerstate painting show, but believes there may be a chance he can tattoo me on Sunday. It is only a chance at this point, but I am super excited by the prospect! Not to mention I get to hang out with my friends and have a blast all weekend! Continue

Collaboration part 2

Yesterday was my second session on the collaboration on my leg by Conan Lea and Amory Abbott. It went really well, and feel very happy about the amount completed. There is a ton of stuff to rework and cover-up, so it will be a huge endeavor. The best part is that my most hated piece has been reworked! I never have to see it again! It is pretty exciting. Here is some of it so far.

Bad Luck/Good Luck!

So on the bad luck side of things, Ed Perdomo will not be making it to the Paradise Tattoo Gathering this year. He had some problems with his visa so he was not approved to enter the U.S. He was nice enough to offer me a place to stay in Sweden if I want to get tattooed by him though! On the good news side, I have set an appointment with Juan Salgado for the Paradise Gathering instead! He will be doing some flowers in between 2 existing piece I have! I will also be getting more work done on my… Continue

History Channel!

I was on t.v. last night for about a second! There was a show called The Works on the History Channel. It had footage from Hell City, and it showed a lot of my friends and even me for a second! It was pretty fun to see. I also found the show to be an interesting take on tattoos, overall different than other recent tattoo related t.v. Continue

Collaboration!

All I can say about my latest trip to Indianapolis to see Conan Lea is WOW! The idea started as a few flowers to go around some existing dragon flies I have on my thigh. As we had a bite to eat before my session the talk turned to the rest of my leg. This is my right leg which has a couple hideous pieces that I d… Continue

Juan Salgado!

I just got an e-mail from Juan today, in response to a plea for him to tattoo me at either of the Hell City shows in 2009. He says that he has some openings and is up to tattoo some flowers. Now I am just waiting to hear back on the exact say/time/price/art. happy happy! Continue

Happy times!

Hell City is coming up this Friday the 16th!!!!!! I am so excited for this event. It is absolutely my favorite convention around. I will be getting tattooed 3 times over the weekend. On Friday, Joe Capobianco is going to do some touch ups on my vampire geisha, and hopefully another design next to her. Saturday will be more work on my back, and talk about what will come next. Also on Saturday some filler and tightening of my left sleeve. I have plans to meet a lot of new people that I have met o… Continue

Ed Perdomo!

I finally convinced my husband that we should go to the Paradise Tattoo Gathering! It was lucky for me that it is going on around the time of our anniversary! It is the perfect present for me, and a beautiful place for us to go on vacation. I have been talking to the artist Ed Perdomo, for a few months, even before I knew about this convention. Unfortunately he was not planning a trip to America (much to my dismay). Then I read here a week or so ago that he was going to be attending the Paradise… Continue

Got to be careful (at least in the US). Many Fortune 500 employers have added both a strip search and a cavity search to the last segment of the hiring process. A tattoo could spell the end to your future career.
