IT's been almost six weeks since I was hit by a freight train. MY broken face is healing and so is my back; very slowly. Today I learned that I will never have hearing in my right ear again-I'm deaf on the right. That sucks but it has made me think that the frustration and rage I'm feeling should turn into some new ink.
I've decided to get a Red & Black Canadian Pacific Railway locomotive done on my back (and a bit lower too). It's going to be centered coming "out" of my back surrounded by clouds of smoke from it's wheels. I'll probably have a bunch of smaller railway lights signals too. This is the exact locomotive that struck me.
I'm told my facial nerve has been cut in one spot, crushed by skull fracture in another. I'm going in for a nerve graft as soon as possible (they're grafting nerves from my ankles!). There the deafness, I'm almost blind in one eye (that will get better!). 3 broken ribs, 3 broken bits of vertibrae, and several torn muscles have all kept me out of commission these last weeks but not down for good!
I can say that I've never been so inspired, and despite a bit of tragedy I could have been dead yet here I am.
A tattoo with serious horsepower!
