Okay....ouch!!

My ankle is done.

WOOHOO!

I did have to make some compromises, the original font I chose wouldn't hold up. The color I wanted wouldn't either
so I ended up with a black ankle bracelet in one of the 5 fonts that I originally looked at, so that's not so bad. My ultimate goal was legibility and durability so I think I got what I asked for. (I asked for something that would be legible when I'm 80 and have cankles)

The actual tattooing didn't hurt any more than the other places that he's done. Getting to watch him tattoo me was neat, I didn't get to see the other 16 hours he did. The aftermath is a little more painful, and of course my cats are lining up to rub up against my ankles. I'm sure I looked kinda funny standing on one foot this morning saying "scat!!"

I tried looking this last session and it didn't help. I always looked away during shots as a child, so I guess it still works for me!

I don't know about kids, mine are tweens and teens, my soon to be 12 yr old just noticed tonight (because she was on the floor looking for something when I walked up), my 16 yr old hasn't noticed it yet.

What is it about kids suddenly being more physical with areas recently tattooed (and I even had long sleeves on)??

Comment by Bones on February 4, 2009 at 1:39pm: I definitely like watching while getting tattooed. For some reason it hurts more when I can't see what is going on (probably my control-freak personality). I think it hurts less because I know how much is getting done and how much is left.

What is it about pets suddenly being more interested in areas that are recently tattooed?
